Thanksgiving at the Gaunt Residence

Yesterday, we headed out to Calabasas for Thanksgiving dinner at the Gaunt Residence.  As always, the house was full of love and joy.  It was also full of small children running around and causing havoc as they entertained themselves.  John and Nicholas were happy to see their good buddies, but they were even more excited to roll around on the floor and wrestle with them.

The boys all plotted against the one lone girl, Adriana.  They had plans to do karate chops and to throw rocks at her to prevent her from joining them in the creek.  Thankfully, they didn't do that because that would not have been a good.

As the night went on and dessert time was upon us, the boys picked up their cupcakes.  Actually, they wanted their cupcakes before dinner, but we were able to convince them to eat their meals.  John wanted to go eat the cupcakes outside so we did.  He kept on insisting that he heard wolves in the hills and was scared until Jesse told him that there are no wolves in California.  That saved the day.  The rest of the boys went inside, but John and I were still talking and enjoying the fresh air.  It wasn't horribly cold, but it was rather nippy.

Sadly, we had to head home and John asked Aunt Patty when we could come back.  She said, "Anytime."  I warned her that he'd probably want to come back today and she said that we were always welcome.  The boys were so worn out from the fun that they just crashed in the back seat of the car.  We considered going to Target to see how things were, but we thought better of it.  We even had a plan of how we could lay them out in a cart and let them sleep.  That last part is a joke.  We would never have done that.
