Guess Who's Back In School

The boys started school on Monday.  Both will be going 3-days per week.  They'll get a nice 4-day weekend from Thursday to Sunday.  I wish I could pull that off.

Anyway, John went into his final year of preschool and Nicholas went into his second year.  John was ok with everything and ready to go.  Nicholas was a bit apprehensive about going into a new class.  He said that he was going to show his new orange Dusty shoes to his new teacher, but then, he was going to go back to his old classroom.  When he got to his new classroom, there was an orange balloon with his name on it.  As soon as he saw that, his plan was gone.  He was ready to stay in the right room.
This afternoon, John asked me to move the clock in their room over to his side.  He wants the alarm over there because he knows he'll be going to Kindergarten next year.  He said, "I need to wake up early next year becaue I can't be late to Kindergarten.  They don't like it when you are late to school."  It's good that he has that great attitude about being on time at such an early age.  When I went to school, you'd get detention if you were late to school.

Nature Lovers

Unlike me, the boys really like being outdoors.  They love to run around and play in the grass, dirt, and even mud.  Thankfully, there are several gardens on the property that allow them to run until the cows come home.  And, they really do seem to like each other very much.  Sure, they argue from time to time and John will says, "I wish I didn't have a brother.", but he wouldn't have his favorite little play pal.

The Library at Pillow World

While I'm at work, I get to miss all sorts of things.  I particularly don't mind missing out on Pillow World because I have a hang up about pillows on the floor.  Anywho, Pillow World has quite the comfortable library.  While Nicholas is reading, John is just lounging around as if he were at home.  Those boys get too comfortable too easily.  After they take off their shoes, they'll take off their pants and lounge in the underware.

Favorite Member of the Super Friends

Growing up, my favorite member of the Super Friends was Green Lantern.  Truth be known, he still is my favorite hero even after the horrible movie.  I guess John didn't get the memo that he was supposed to like the same things that I do.  Apparently, his favorite member of the Super Friends is El Dorado.  His powers were never really explained, but he did speak with an accent and he would toss in a Spanish word or two as he spoke.
